Driver Requirements

• All boat drivers must be 21 or older. A valid photo ID is required at check-in.
• Missouri Boater Safety certification is required for any driver born on or after January 1, 1984. You can complete this course online at boat-ed.com before your rental date.
• Passengers of all ages are welcome — the 21+ and safety certification requirements apply only to the person operating the boat.

Pricing & Duration

• All boats are priced per boat, not per person. A group of 12 pays the same rate as a group of 2.
• Rental options include 4-hour, half-day, full-day, and multi-day durations. Select tritoons are available for rentals up to 14 days. See individual listings for specific duration availability.

A Quieter Corner of Table Rock Lake

Kings River Marina sits on the Shell Knob arm of Table Rock Lake, the less-trafficked side of the lake, away from the Branson corridor. If you’re looking for a day with fewer wakes, more open water, and some room to actually breathe, this part of the lake is worth the drive. The coves and inlets near Shell Knob are some of the prettiest on the whole lake.

Most marinas top out at a 24-hour rental. We offer multi-day rentals on select boats, with some available for up to 14 days. If you’re renting a cabin or vacation home on the lake and want a boat for the week, we can usually make that work.

Everything You Need at One Stop

Fuel, snacks, ice, drinks, and basic marina supplies are all available on-site. If something goes sideways on the water, our towing and emergency service is there. You can leave home and not worry about making three stops before you get on the lake.

Boating on Table Rock Lake

Table Rock Lake covers about 43,000 acres across the Ozarks, with 745 miles of shoreline managed by the Army Corps of Engineers. The water stays clear and clean; no murky runoff, no heavy agricultural use upstream. It’s one of the cleaner lakes in Missouri, which is part of why it draws so many visitors from Springfield, Kansas City, and beyond.

The Shell Knob Area

Shell Knob sits at the southern end of Table Rock Lake, where the Kings River arm branches off from the main body of water. It’s one of the more secluded stretches of the lake with fewer jet skis buzzing around and more room to find a quiet cove. The fishing out here is great too, particularly for largemouth bass and crappie.

What You Can Do on the Lake

• Swimming and anchoring in one of the many protected coves: calm, clear water that’s good for kids
• Tubing and watersports: the tritoons have the horsepower for it
• Fishing: bass, crappie, walleye, and catfish are all common on this part of the lake

Do I need a boating license to rent a boat at Kings River Marina?

Missouri does not require a boating license to rent or operate a boat, but it does require a Boater Safety certification for anyone born on or after January 1, 1984. You can complete this course online through boat-ed.com and print your certificate before arriving. All drivers must be 21 or older and present a valid photo ID at check-in.

We rent 23-foot Landau tritoons and a 23-foot Landau fishing boat. The tritoons hold up to 12 passengers and are well-suited for family outings, tubing, and general cruising. The fishing boat holds up to 10 passengers and is designed for anglers; tubing is not permitted on the fishing boat. All boats are powered by 140hp motors.

How much does it cost to rent a boat on Table Rock Lake?

How far in advance should I book a boat rental?

During peak summer weekends (Memorial Day through Labor Day) boats typically book out 1 to 2 weeks in advance. Weekday rentals and shoulder-season dates (spring and fall) often have same-week availability. If you have a specific date in mind, booking as early as possible is always the safe move. Can I rent a boat for multiple days?

Yes. Select tritoons in our fleet are available for multi-day rentals, with some listings offering durations up to 14 days. If you’re renting a cabin or vacation home on the lake and want a boat for several days, check the individual listing for available duration options. Multi-day availability can be confirmed through the online booking system.

Is fishing allowed on the rental boats?

Yes, fishing is permitted from all of our rental boats. Anyone fishing must have a valid Missouri fishing license, which can be purchased online through the Missouri Department of Conservation. If you plan to fish specifically, we recommend our dedicated fishing boat rental (the Blue Allure), which is set up for anglers. Note that tubing and water skiing are not permitted on the fishing boat.

Can I bring food and drinks on the boat?

Yes. You’re welcome to bring a cooler with food and beverages. Our marina store carries snacks, drinks, ice, and a few grocery basics if you need to stock up when you arrive. We ask that you pack out what you bring and keep the boat clean.

Where exactly is Kings River Marina located?

Kings River Marina is located at 27504 Big Rock Road, Shell Knob, Missouri 65747, on the southern end of Table Rock Lake. Shell Knob is approximately 35 miles south of Branson, about 1 hour and 15 minutes from Springfield, and roughly 3.5 hours from Kansas City. Parking is available on-site. Our summer hours are daily from 8 am to 6 pm.
